MEDIA LANDSCAPE IN PENNSYLVANIA

Dating back to the colonial era, the local press tradition in this Mid-Atlantic commonwealth is defined by large metropolitan dailies anchoring opposite ends of the state. The Lenfest Institute-owned Philadelphia Inquirer dominates eastern circulation, tracing its roots to 1829.
